In 1990, we began our community grants program for the restoration or rehabilitation of residential and commercial historic structures. We added grants for educational projects relating to historic preservation in the early 1990s. From 2000 through 2018, the Society’s grant programs have awarded more than $2.5 million dollars to individuals and organizations. Take a look at just a few of our completed grant projects below!
We offer competitive grants once a year for the restoration or rehabilitation of residential or commercial historic structures built in the past 50 years.
APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2020 BUILDING GRANTS: Applications may be submitted starting August 1st. The last day to submit a grant application is Friday, September 25th at 4:00 pm. Notification of award status will be sent within the first two weeks of December.
