In 1990, we began our community grants program for the restoration or rehabilitation of residential and commercial historic structures. We added grants for educational projects relating to historic preservation in the early 1990s. From 2000 through 2018, the Society’s grant programs have awarded more than $2.5 million dollars to individuals and organizations. Take a look at just a few of our completed grant projects below!

BUILDING GRANTS

We offer competitive grants once a year for the restoration or rehabilitation of residential or commercial historic structures built in the past 50 years.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2021 BUILDING GRANTS Has Closed: Notification of award status will be sent within the first two weeks of December. If you are looking for a Grant to help restore your property, please check back August 1, 2022 when the process opens again. Below is a link to the 2021 application for you to review.  Thank you.
