What We Do > Building Grants

In 1990, we began our community grants program for the restoration or rehabilitation of residential and commercial historic structures. We added grants for educational projects relating to historic preservation in the early 1990s. From 2000 through 2021, the Society’s grant programs have awarded more than $2.85 million dollars to individuals and organizations. Take a look at just a few of our completed grant projects below!

BUILDING GRANTS

We offer competitive grants once a year for the restoration or rehabilitation of residential or commercial historic structures built in the past 50 years.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2022 BUILDING GRANTS Is Now OPEN: Notification of award status will be sent within the first two weeks of December.  Below is the link to the 2022 application for you to review as well as information for photos to be submitted.  Thank you.
