A Night in Old San Antonio – 75th anniversary of Making History by Savoring History

Watch here as NIOSA Chairman Patti Zaiontz tells Fox 29 KABB viewers how the famous Chili Queens are being honored for this milestone Fiesta.

Come celebrate with us!

Through the magic of 155-plus food, drink, and atmosphere booths and entertainment stages; decorations; souvenirs; and many dedicated, enthusiastic volunteers, NIOSA brings the city’s heritage alive in its 14 cultural areas.

NIOSA is the top fundraiser for historic preservation in the nation and truly lives up to its motto of a “Celebration for Preservation.” Funds raised enable the Conservation Society to continue its mission of preserving historic buildings, objects, places, and customs relating to the history of Texas and all that is admirably distinctive to the state. Out of the roughly $1 million netted at NIOSA, proceeds support the restoration and preservation of historic properties and parks throughout the city, as well as education and advocacy programs and projects such as  Heritage Education tours, seminars, community tours, scholarships, our resource library, and Yturri-Edmunds house museum.

See how NIOSA has changed through the years.
