Alamo Citizen Advisory Committee Meeting: Presentation of the proposed final draft of the Alamo interpretive plan. The briefing portion is open for the public to attend and listen.

The Society’s “Save Alamo Plaza!” petition calls for maintaining an open and intact plaza.  Everyone who shares this vision needs to be vigilant and steadfast in insisting that the interpretive plan respect these key points!

Society President Susan Beavin and Executive Director Vince Michael are mentioned in the Express-News coverage of Monday’s meeting.  The headline says it all: “Alamo Plaza plan largely unchanged after months of public debate.”

The Woolworth Building in Alamo Plaza played an imprtant role in local Civil Rights history.
This 1921 landmark makes a handsome and authentic corner piece for the proposed Alamo museum.
