San Antonio Conservation Society Announcement

February 26, 2019

We’re taking the Woolworth Building to the 2019 Preservation Texas Summit!  Please join members of the Coalition for the Woolworth Building for Preservation Day in Austin this Thursday.

Location Change – meet us at Central Christian Church, 1110 Guadalupe Street, two blocks west of the capitol!

No registration is needed to join us on Thursday, February 28th from 11:15 to 12:00 for the announcement of Texas’ Most Endangered Places for 2019.  We will be displaying the Coalition’s banner and handing out brochures about why this important Civil Rights site is worthy of preservation.  The Woolworth Building made the Preservation Texas list in 2016 and remains endangered by the current Alamo plan.

To attend the full day of events, register by clicking here.

If you want to show your support and can’t make it to Austin, please consider contacting the Texas Historical Commission to support our State Antiquities Landmark nomination.  Click here to find out more.
