Society Helps KSAT Explain Place Names – August 16, 2023

Recently, Executive Director Dr. Vincent Michael helped KSAT explore the historical figures behind some of San Antonio’s frequently encountered place names: Wurzbach, Tobin, McAllister, and Henry B. Gonzalez.  Watch video.

The Society saved his 1850s home and office from demolition before transferring the property to the State of Texas in 1975. This State Historic Site is also a National Historic Landmark.
