Our mission is to collect, preserve, organize, and make accessible materials that document the history of San Antonio and South Central Texas with an emphasis on historic buildings, objects, places, and customs. The library is open to the public, as well as to the members and staff of the Conservation Society.
Dear Library Patrons,
The library has moved, but remains closed while we unpack and reshelve the thousands of items in our collections. The library remains a part of the Society’s new headquarters in the Courand House, 1146 S. Alamo Street, in the King William Historic District.
I am unable to provide service in person, or answer research requests by phone or email until the library reopens.
However, you are able to use the library’s webpages. Our Research Links are organized alphabetically by topic and can help direct you to other online and local resources.
Thank you for your patience. I look forward to the library reopening sometime in the spring!
Best regards,
Beth Standifird,
Research Librarian
