Don’t miss the exhibit opening reception at the Mexican Civil Rights Institute on December 6th.
William “Willie” Merriweather Peña (1919-2018) was perhaps the most important Mexican American architect of the 20th century, yet he remains largely unknown outside of his field. We know him for the design of the Texas Pavilion, which became the Institute of Texan Cultures after HemisFair ‘68, but there is so much more to his legacy. Learn more about the life and work of this remarkable trailblazer with MACRI!
