Ever watchful, the Society delivered five statements during a marathon HDRC meeting that lasted until 10:30 p.m.  The development at 803 N. Cherry Street, adjacent to the Hays Street Bridge, was one of the projects we addressed.  HDRC denied this request.

Our other four statements covered: a new parking garage and skybridge over Cesar E. Chavez for H-E-B (HDRC approved); a finding of historic significance for the former Pure Oil gas station at 901 Nogalitos (HDRC approved); moving the historic Claudius King House from 819 Augusta (HDRC approved); and a mural promoting the Agave Apartments on a wall facing the river (HDRC denied).
