Mexican American Civil Rights Institute’s Visitor Center Grand Opening

Everyone is invited to the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for MACRI’s Visitor Center! Come to 2123 Buena Vista Street on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 2 pm to 5:30 pm for an afternoon filled with musical and dance performances to celebrate the launch of the new Visitor Center.

Since MACRI’s founding in 2019, it has presented nearly 100 (mostly virtual) public programs on Mexican American civil rights history. The Visitor Center is the next step towards a permanent national museum focused on Mexican American civil rights history and will further our work to put San Antonio on the map as the country’s cradle of Mexican American civil rights history!

Come celebrate this achievement! Gate opens at 1:30 PM. Program begins at 2 PM.
