Due to the current COVID situation, the Coalition for the Woolworth Building is postponing this event. We hope to offer it closer to March 16th, the 62nd anniversary of San Antonio’s downtown lunch counter integration. Please check back for an update.

Two of our event partners are still holding their own DreamWeek events. SAAACAM’s Black History River Tour kicks off on Thurs., Jan. 13th, 6:00-9:00PM. The San Antonio Public Library invites you to Celebrate DreamWeek with a talk by event founder and organizer Shokare Nakpodia at the Carver Library on Tues., Jan. 25th, 6:30-7:30PM.

“Piecing Together a Story of Courage: Civil Rights in San Antonio”

Invites you to discover local heroines and heroes of the Civil Rights Movement; historic images, recordings, and interviews keep their story paramount in three short videos. Learn from archival experts how to preserve the materials and memories behind these, and other, vital community stories.  Do you have local civil rights history to share?  Bring it our History Harvest session.
