JOB OPPORTUNITY:

The Conservation Society of San Antonio

The Conservation Society of San Antonio is one of the nation’s oldest historic preservation organizations, founded in 1924.  The Society works to save the architectural, natural and cultural heritage of the San Antonio area through education, advocacy and community revitalization.  The Society has had a principal role in the conservation of the World Heritage San Antonio Missions since the 1920s.  It owns and operates the Yturri-Edmunds Homestead museum and leases several other historic properties in the city.  The Society has almost 1,000 members and provides regular heritage education opportunities and grants.  In addition to annual awards and building grants programs, the Society partners with City, State, and local communities to highlight the rich heritage of the nation’s seventh largest city and its surrounding counties.  Each spring during Fiesta, the Society hosts A Night In Old San Antonio®, the nation’s largest preservation fundraiser.
