A Night in Old San Antonio : A History in Photographs
Description:
Cornyation was a parody of the Coronation of the Order of the Alamo's queen that made fun of politicians and local personalities. It began in 1951 and remained a part of NIOSA until 1965. The San Antonio Little Theater staged this popular event at the Arneson River Theater to benefit the building fund for the San Pedro Playhouse. After 1965, Cornyation continued as an independent Fiesta attraction.
