Join ICAA Texas, in partnership with Southwest School of Art and The Conservation Society of San Antonio, at the Coates Chapel for a lively conversation between two remarkable local artists about the Southwest School of Art’s beloved daughter, her seminal book The Painted Walls of Mexico, and its connection to classical architecture through the Integration of Painting & Architecture.

Emily Edwards was a student of the Ursuline Academy and co-founder of the Conservation Society.

Lionel Sosa will discuss the blending of art and architecture, historical and style aspects of the Mexican Muralists.

Nicola Vigini will discuss his work in the field and show specific examples of Alfredo Ramos Martinez and his collaborations with architect George Washington Smith in Santa Barbara.
