This frame building, constructed around 1877, housed the gardener
and the stable boy. The Society restored the servants’ quarters in
1983-84, with the help of a grant from the Texas Historical
Commission. As the present day visitors’ center, the building
functions as the starting point for guided tours of the Steves
complex. |
